July 14, 2015
Downtown Chestertown’s annual shopping bonanza, Crazy Days, is right around the corner. The sidewalk sale begins on Thursday, July 23 and runs through Saturday, July 25, with many stores carrying the specials into Sunday as well.
This mid summer tradition is sponsored by the Downtown Chestertown Association.
Great deals can be found on everything from men’s and women’s designer fashions, childrens’ toys, jewelry, home décor, wine and cheese accessories, books, art supplies, floral arrangements, and even musical instruments. There is plenty to keep the younger ones occupied, including free face painting, storytelling and Garfield Playmaker’s interactive theatre activities. McGruff the Crime Dog will be on hand to make sure everyone is behaving. Don’t miss the chance to cheer on participants in the third annual Crazy Days Pie Eating Contest at 11 am in Fountain Park.
For those who wish to grab something to eat while perusing the bargains, the Black Burro and Papa Smurf’s BBQ food trucks will be located on Memorial Row on Thursday and Friday, and the KCHS Music Boosters will be selling hot dogs and sno cones all three days. Downtown restaurants will be offering “Crazy” specials as well.
Bring the whole family to Downtown Chestertown for a fun filled day – or weekend!
The parking is always free.
