From Kent County High School:
This morning (March 2, 2017) at approximately 10:50 a.m., there was an altercation involving two students at Kent County High School. The students involved in the altercation were not seriously injured but were transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment. This was an isolated incident.
Kent County Sheriff’s office and school administrators are investigating the incident. At present, students have resumed their normal schedule and are safe. We continue to provide the highest level of safety and security for the well being of our students.
Additional resources and supports are in place for the remainder of the day to ensure students feel safe. Please understand student safety at KCHS was the priority this morning and therefore, communication was delayed to parents.
