KCPS 2017-18 Pre-K Registration is Coming in May

One of the biggest attraction for parents with young children in Kent County is that the Public School System is committed to a free universal all-day pre-kindergarten program. Any child living in Kent County and will be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2017 are eligible.

With the closure of two Elementary Schools, Worton and Millington, registration will only be open at three schools. May 17, 2017 at Galena Elementary School, May 18, 2017 at Rock Hall Elementary School and May 23, 2017 at H.H. Garnet Elementary School in Chestertown.

Parents are being asked to call the three schools to set up an appointment for registration day. The phone numbers are: Galena Elementary, 410-810-2510; Rock Hall Elementary, 410-810-2622; and Garnet Elementary, 410-778-6890.

When applying for pre-K, parents should bring their child’s birth certificate, immunization certificate and records, proof of residency and their child’s Social Security card. Guardians should be bring proof of custody as well. While the KCPS pre-K program is universal, parents are still required to submit proof of household income, such as their latest tax return, W2 form or payroll stub.
