Kailyn Brandt – Shorewoman of the Week

Freshman field hockey player Kailyn Brandt (White Hall, Md./Hereford) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. Brandt scored two goals in the Shorewomen’s 3-1 win over Roanoke Saturday.

Brandt scored the game’s first goal in the first half, blasting in a shot after a rebound of her initial shot came right back to her. She tacked on Washington’s third goal in the second half.

Collegiate Four – Shoreman of the Week

The five student-athletes from the men’s rowing team’s collegiate four at the Head of the Charles share this week’s Shoreman of the Week honor.

Junior coxswain Alex Kincaid (Bowie, Md./DeMatha), senior Chris Eggstein (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial), senior Samson Ramasamy (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown), sophomore Brook Yimer (Arlington, Va./Wakefield), and senior Joe Stockburger (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) finished the race in 17:23.569, good for 25th among 40 crews – mostly from Division I schools. It was the Shoremen’s best finish in that race since an 11th-place finish in 2008.
