Hodson Trust Grants $3.5 Million to Washington College for Student Scholarship Endowment

The Hodson Trust, whose generosity has supported hundreds of Washington College students over 81 years, this year is donating $3.5 million to endow student scholarships. Rock Hall Basket Tree Lighting

With the help from Santa and Mrs Claus the town of Rock Hall held the lighting of the Community Crab Basket Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017. The tree is located in the center of Main Street and is constructed with over 200 crab baskets. Continue reading

Chestertown’s Christmas Parade

It was a lovely November morning in Chestertown. The temperature began a bit brisk, but warmed up as the morning advanced to 10am, the time for the Annual Chestertown Christmas Parade.

Community Groups, Floats, Classic Cars and Marching Bands, along with the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company ushered the Santa Claus, the wonderful Christmas Icon that all the children wanted to see. They were also treated to candy thrown to the crowd by many of the parade participants. Continue reading
